Jim Pendergrass has taught online and behind-the-wheel driving at Springfield and Nixa High Schools. He is a retired school teacher (Chadwick 2025-26, Nixa 2023-25, Kickapoo 2009-23).  From 2010-2023, he was the  Head Basketball Coach of the Kickapoo Lady Chiefs with an overall coaching record of 384-114.  He guided the Kickapoo Lady Chiefs to the 2016 Class 5 State Championship with a 63-53 win over Kirkwood.  In 2025 he led the Chadwick Lady Cardinals to the Class 1 State Championship.  In 2018 and 2022 the team finish 2nd in State and in 2021 had a 3rd place finish.
